Many of you are starting new research projects that require bibliographies, notecards, and outlines. And while there are tons of citation tools that you can use, most of your teachers will ask that you use either NoodleTools or EasyBib for your assignments.
NoodleBibs and EasyBib are both online research tools that will help you to organize and properly cite your research. And, because we love you oh so much, we’ve made both of these tools super easy for you to find.
NoodleTools can be found at the bottom of the library webpage. Or you can click here and you will be brought to the login page. In general, you should be able to use your GCDS login credentials to access the website, but if you have trouble, let me know and I’ll reset your password.
EasyBib can be found in the More section of your Gmail toolbar. Because you’re already logged in to Gmail, you will automatically be logged in to EasyBib.
Once you’re logged in to either of these tools, you will be able to create a new project, add resources, create notecards, develop outlines, and draft your final paper – amazing! While the tools are very similar, each one requires a bit of practice to master. So if you’re looking to use NoodleTools, check out their YouTube channel, which has loads of tutorials on how to best use their program. If, on the other hand, you’re going to use EasyBib for your project, then take a gander at their YouTube channel for short videos that provide information and instruction.
NoodleTools and EasyBib are both incredibly helpful in making your research as organized and accurate as possible. As always, please feel free to swing by the library with any questions about research, assignments, or resources!
